Gaelforce West is turning 20, and in 2026 we are celebrating where it all began.
Ireland’s original adventure race, first held in 2006, returns with the legendary 68km triple discipline challenge through Connemara, finishing in Westport. It is the milestone route, the one that has defined Gaelforce for two decades.
New for 2026, Gaelforce Westport is our one-off 20-year celebration sprint event. A 34km run and cycle challenge from Westport, created to welcome more people into the Gaelforce community. It is the perfect chance to try adventure racing and experience a proper finish line moment on the biggest day of the year.
