The Great Swim Trilogy Events Declaration Policy: valid across Great River Swim, Great Lake Swim, Great Fjord Swim
MANDATORY TOW-FLOAT
I understand that it is mandatory for ALL competitors in ALL distances of the Great Swim Trilogy events to wear a Tow-Float and that if I turn up to the startline without one I will not be allowed to take part in the event.
3.9km Distance
I declare that by taking part in the Great Lake Swim or Great Fjord Swim 3.9km Event I am able to swim halfway (2000m) within 1 hour and complete the full 3.9km distance within 2 hours. I understand that if I exceed these times I will be extracted from the water. I also understand that the safety team have the right to extract me from the water at any point around the course on safety and/or medical grounds
By entering the Great Lake Swim or Great Fjord Swim event, I declare that I will be able to complete a 3.9km, open water swim continuously and unaided on or before the date of the swim.
2km Distance
By entering this Gaelforce Great Swim Trilogy event, I declare that I will be able to complete a 2km, open water swim continuously and unaided on or before the date of the swim.
750m Distance
By entering this Gaelforce Great Swim Trilogy event, I declare that I will be able to complete a 750m, open water swim continuously and unaided on or before the date of the swim.
Swim Cancellation
I understand that due to the nature of outdoor swimming the Great River Swim, Great Lake Swim and Great Fjord Swim may be relocated/postponed/cancelled prior to and on the day of the event due to unforeseen circumstances (including bad weather conditions).
