The route

Stage 1: Field run & woodland path

The route starts in the field to the far left of the Deer Park Golf Club buildings, and then ascends the steep terrain of Howth Hill on a narrow track.

Stage 2: sealed road, greenway, steep track

At the upper part of the hill, the terrain changes to sealed road and then joins the old railway track greenway. At the end of the greenway track, it’s time to ascend Howth Hill again and make it to the summit.

Stage 3: Field run

The route then follows the trail back down the hill towards the finish line at Deer Park Golf Club.

Route Terrain

The route varies from sealed roads, wet bog, forest trails and gravel paths. Expect the unexpected!
