22KM EXPERT MOUNTAIN RUN

Part of the SKYRUNNER® UK & IRELAND SERIES 2020 & a UTMB Qualifying Race

Expect: 22km of challenging terrain with steep ascents and descents 

Prepare: For rapidly changing weather patterns pushing in from the Atlantic Ocean 

Achieve:  An overall height gain of 1372m over 4 peaks 

Enjoy: Vast panoramic views of Connemara, Killary Fjord and the offshore Atlantic islands.

13KM INTERMEDIATE MOUNTAIN RUN

13KM route is a big step up from the 12km distance and should not be entered into lightly. 

Expect: Varied and changing terrain with steep ascents and descents 

Prepare: For rapidly changing weather systems pushing in from the Atlantic Ocean. 

Achieve: 13km across 3 peaks reaching a height of 556m 

Enjoy: Stunning 360 views of Connemara and the Killary Fjord.

12KM INTRODUCTORY MOUNTAIN/TRAIL RUN

The 12KM Route is the perfect mix of trail and hill and the perfect taster for anyone who wants to go from road and trail to mountain running.

Expect: A perfect mix of trail and hill running to whet you appetite. 

Prepare: For soft ground, often slippy underfoot with unpredictable west of Ireland weather. 

Achieve: A first mountain run on an unmarked route of 12km and 1 peak reaching 293m

Enjoy: Superb views and the experience of a lifetime
