This is a working document, please check again coming closer to the event. Last updated: 20/07/2021

We are trying our best to prepare our events as safe as possible. Please read this document carefully and be aware that some decisions are and won't be in our hands.

We are also getting in touch with you about important event information by using our newsletter system. If you unsubscribed from this list, you can only stay updated via this webpage or our social media channels. If you want to resubscribe, please let us know.

To ensure competitor and marshal safety we are introducing the following changes:

  • Our event day registration will now all be postal. There will be no registration on Friday evening.

    • We will send out your race number on Thursday, the 15th of July 2021. Please make sure that you gave us the right address by checking your confirmation email. Any changes after 17:00 on Friday the 9th of July 2021 won’t be registered.

  • You will arrive ready to race with your race number displayed at all times 45 minutes before your start time. You will be shown where to park. If you need to change, it will be in your car, if you have valuables they must stay in your car (at your own risk). You must bring an envelope and put your car keys in them. Please write your name, your race number and your car reg. on it. The envelope can be dropped in at the dome at the back of the Centre. You must prep your bike at your car and drop it at bike transition. Bikes can only be dropped off 30 mins before your start time.

  • We are very sorry but there are no spectators allowed.
  • All communal areas will be supplied with hand sanitizing stations.

  • Our start line will consist of small waves of no more than 50 people, this will ensure that 2 metre of social distancing is possible.

    • The bike transition is now at the start line at Killary. All bikes have to be fully ready when dropping them off, there is no prepping bikes in the transition.

    • Numbers on the course will be limited to ensure 2 metre Social Distancing is possible at all times.

  • Competitors will only be able to overtake if 2 metre Social Distancing is possible.

  • All dibbing will be on free standing stations.

  • All kayak paddles and buoyancy aid will be cleaned down after every use. Please note competitors will be given a buoyancy aid at the kayak transition

  • Our finish line will be in constant motion, so it will not be an area to congregate. Near the finish line will be a collection point with a 2 metre queuing system, where you'll receive your finisher's bag with refreshments, T-shirt, Medal and Buff. There will be no Prize-Giving either, prizes will be collected with your refreshments. After receiving your bag, it is necessary that you return to your car straight away.

  • However please note that all competitors must take personal responsibility for their safety and the safety of other.

    • Anyone symptomatic must not attend the event.

    • Hand washing and social distancing must be practiced and maintained by all at all times.

    • Please wear a mask at all times when indoors.

We are working on further details for all procedures and will be putting these online as and when we have them.
