Jamie Young
Gaelforce West is the brainchild of Jamie Young. He, along with his wife Mary set up and still run Killary Adventure Company in Leenane Co. Galway. He has adventure in his blood having done expeditions such as race single handed across the Atlantic Ocean, kayaking around Cape Horn, retracing Shackleton’s footsteps to St Georgia and even trying to Kite ski back from the South Pole! |

Mary Young
Mary Young has run Killary Adventure Co. with Jamie for 30 years. A keen outdoor enthusiast she was one of the initial 150 competitors who took part in the first Gaelforce 6 and has completed the Connemara triathlon. Her earlier adventures involved sailing trips across the Atlantic (for her honeymoon) and into the Pacific amongst others. She is the woman with the purse strings within Gaelforce events! |

Mona Purcell
Mona is the manager of Killary Adventure Co. and is the overall events operations manager. She has run many a successful event programs including ‘Celebrities go wild’ , Gaelforce West and Connemara Adventure Challenge. Mona has been the general manager of KACo for over 10 years and her interests lie in the outdoors. |

Ciara Young
Ciara finished 2nd level education and headed off to explore the world for 4 years visiting Australlia, New Zealand, South America, Central America, Africa and Aisia. She returned in 2006 to complete a degree in Marketing and Events management. Ciara has been involved with Gaelforce since its conception working on the marketing and sponsorship. |

Siobhan Bennett
Siobhan has been working in the outdoor industry for over 12years. She has an honours degree in Outdoor Education and a diploma in Events Management and PR. She has worked in the organisation of Gaelforce for the last 4 years as well as a number of other adventure races in Ireland and aboard.
